Castlecomer Discovery Park and Visitor Centre consist of a wonderful 80-acre discovery park in the Castlecomer Demesne. Castlecomer Visitor Centre houses the reception, Coal-Mining Exhibition open daily. The grounds consist of mixed woodland, on the banks of the River Deen with numerous activities and attractions including the treetop adventure walk, a 140-metre walk through the beautiful riverside trees 10 metres above ground level. The stables are home to a growing group of craftspeople and artists. The first section of the yard has been fully restored and adapted to facilitate the resident artisans. The woodlands play host to 6 kilometres of themed woodland walks and a number of wooden sculptures. Twelve sculptures were created within the woodland, each designed to blend in with surroundings and five of the sculptures can be found scattered throughout the woodlands. Reach new heights by challenging yourself on our great outdoor climbing wall with several different levels for all to enjoy. Experience our daring Leap of Faith – climb the 7-metre pole, balance on the platform and take a leap of faith aiming for the target before being assisted back to ground level! Pre-booking is essential for all Tree Top Walk and Boating activities.
