On the 17th of February, we started the exciting process of renovating our beloved main bar. After months of hard work and anticipation, we joyfully welcomed everyone back through our doors on Monday, the 10th of June. As part of our transformation, we are thrilled to present An Bhearú - Carlow's Newest Bar & Bistro!
Located in the heart of Carlow, An Bhearú welcomes you to a unique and relaxing dining experience. Embrace the warm and vibrant atmosphere as you indulge in a diverse culinary journey, available seven days a week starting from 9:00 am. Here's what we have to offer:
- 9:00 am: Explore a delightful selection of speciality coffees, herbal teas, and freshly baked homemade scones & pastries.
- 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Treat yourself to our Carvery & Lunch Menu, available until 3.30 pm on Sundays.
- 3:00 pm to 9:15 pm: Discover our Evening Menu, serving from 4:00 pm on Sundays.
Whether you're in the mood for a relaxed coffee break, light bites, a hearty carvery, or an exquisite 3-course dinner, An Bhearú caters to all tastes, solidifying its status as one of Carlow Town's most favoured dining destinations. Delight in our Evening Menu, encompassing a wealth of delectable hot dishes and irresistible desserts, all while reveling in live music and savouring one of our exquisite cocktails.
We are honored to accommodate Group Bookings, but please note that groups of over 20 adults will enjoy a curated Reduced Menu. For those preferring the full Evening Menu, we are happy to arrange separate tables, though we cannot guarantee seating beside each other.

An Bhearú welcomes children under the age of 15 until 9:00 pm from October to April, and until 10:00 pm from May to September, aligning with the 2003 Intoxicating Liquor Act.
