Castlecomer Discovery Park
The Park is already a well-established visitor attraction offering a range of activities around the estate including tree top walks, climbing walls, boating, adventure playgrounds, orienteering and most recently Ireland’s longest zip wire and high ropes challenge. At the hub of the site there is the Irish Mining Museum, a purpose built cafe, craft village and spaces for educational activities.

Tree Top Adventure Walk, Climbing Wall and Leap of Faith
Set amongst the sycamore trees, the 7m high Tree-Top Adventure Walk has 14 obstacles to complete. Take on three levels of difficulty on the Climbing Wall and take a Leap of Faith from our 7m pole to catch a swinging trapeze bar (Min. age 7; min. height 1.2m; pre-booking essential; seasonal opening). Cost: Tree Top Walk €12.50pp, Climbing Wall & Leap of Faith €10pp, All 3 €20pp (Group rates available).
Woodland Play Areas Imaginative play areas include an enchanting Elf & Fairy Village
(FREE, accessible daily) and Bluebell Playhouse (FREE, open seasonally). Junior Woodland Adventure Course encourages balance, agility and risk (€5pp, 3 – 8 year olds, seasonal opening).
Timber Tumbles playground includes a mini zip-wire, climbing wall and more (FREE, open daily)!
Activities open weekends (11am-3pm). Group bookings (20+) possible midweek.
