Tinryland girl Lauren has been awarded the Talbot Hotel and KCLR96FM 'Sporting Heroes' award for October 2011

15 year old Lauren came to our attention earlier this year as she has been playing with the Ireland Under 17 soccar squad and was in Macedonia last month when they qualified for next years European competition

The great thing about Lauren is that she's only confined to soccar with her local team St Joseph's Tinryland and the National Team team, she's also an athlete in St Laurence O'Toole Athletics club and plays football with Bennekerry/Tinryland

As part of her athletics involvement she recently won the All Ireland Multi Event which includes 5 Athletic events and shes off to Glasgow on December 03rd to compete in the schools international multi-event
