January Sporting Hero Award for Carlow Boxer

Dylan Carr has been named winner of the Talbot Hotel and KCLR Sporting Hero Award for January 2012

YOUNG CARLOW BOXING STAR HONOURED BY HIS OWN COUNTY

 Carlow boxer Dylan Carr has been named the January winner of the Talbot Hotel and KCLR Sporting Heroes Award.

Dylan, who fights out of the Ryston Club in Newbridge, has a host of achievements to date despite his young age.

In January, he won the National Open Youths 60kg title and was recently named the IABA Irish Junior boxer of the year.

He has also won 5 consecutive National Youth titles from 2005 to 2009 and was a bronze medallist at the European Youth Championships in Serbia in 2008.

Dylan’s big ambition is to compete at the Olympics in Rio De Janiero in 2016.

Its gives the Talbot Hotel and KCLR great pleasure to present Dylan with the January Sporting Heroes Award.
