Bagenalstown boy Jason Foley has been awarded the Talbot Hotel and KCLR “Sporting Heroes” award for November 2011.
Jason, who is only 10 years old, has been quite successful already this year landing a number of titles at his beloved pony jumping.
He broke his leg back in September 2010 and following two surgeries and a spell out of action; he returned in February and got his place on the Under 10 Irish team for the Home Internationals in Cavan where he helped the team win gold.
Among many other achievements since starting in 2008, he has won Under 10 National Pony Titles and the Leinster League Final.
Jason along with his brother Jack, have also won many trophies as a hunter-trial pair.
It was in recognition of his achievements to date and the fact that he’s only 10 years of age that we felt that he should be honoured as our November winner.
